What is chirp phones?

Chirp phones were a type of mobile phone that could transmit data using sound waves. These phones were developed by Qualcomm and launched in 2012. They were primarily targeted towards teenagers and young adults as a way to easily share photos and other media with friends. Chirp phones worked by converting digital data into an audio signal that could be transmitted through the phone's speaker. Other phones could then pick up the audio signal and convert it back into digital data. However, chirp phones did not gain widespread adoption and were eventually discontinued.
